Talkin' About My Generation

Lately I've been noticing certain things about my generation, I really don't know what we are called these days. The Millenials, Generation Y, the technology generation, all sorts of things. Anyway, thats not what is important. Our generation has witnessed many different things, that I think have truly contaminated us. That word may be a little strong, but we really have been impacted by so many different things. With the way the world is today, we have been raised being told not to trust anyone. Since we were little, we were never supposed to take candy from strangers, don't ever get in the car with strangers, and NEVER trust a person who says they have a nice bike for you. Now, we are told never to trust someone who gives you a drink, never trust anything that sounds too good to be true. Truly, we have been taught to never trust anyone or anything, even people that are close to us. This has desensitized us. We really don't trust anyone and its sad. Quite often I find myself and my friends holding back, questioning everything, and never getting to close to anyone. We are all scared of everyone because we have been told we should be and it is seeming impossible to change this.
